Bluegrass coming to Hudson Village Theatre

There will be some toe-tapping music playing next weekend in them there hills, or on the stage at the very least when the Hudson Village Theatre hosts a one-night-only musical event.

Montreal bluegrass band Yonder Hill will play the single show on Saturday, May 30 at 8:00 p.m. at the Village Theatre.

Artistic Director Andrew Johnston, a bluegrass enthusiast, says he’s tried to bring the “first-rate group” to the theatre for several years, only to be put-off by scheduling problems.

“If the goal is to bring top-drawer bluegrass to Hudson, (then it is) mission accomplished,” he said.

Yonder Hill is fronted by Dara Weiss, Angela Desveaux and Hudson’s own Katie Moore.
