Buses rolling again in Hudson and now Pincourt
Vaudreuil-Soulanges – Just in time for the start of school, bus services in Hudson resume and new routes are being offered in Pincourt.
“Starting on Monday, August 20, we will be resuming bus services on a regular basis for the town of Hudson. Hudson residents will be able to commute to three main locations in Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue. First, to the Montreal commuter train station; second, to the STM bus terminal at Ste-Anne/Lalonde; and third, to John Abbott College at Verriere/JAC,” explains René Mailly, director of the CIT La Presqu’Île. “Because of the success of the Hudson pilot bus run of four months from February to May 2007, when we attracted 900 passengers a month, we have decided to start a regular service for students going to John Abbott College, and for residents to make it to bus connections to Montreal”, says René Mailly.

Bus 21, will run on three circuits, from Monday to Friday, starting in Hudson in the morning at Côte St-Charles/Harwood at 7:30 a.m. / 8:30 a.m. / 9:30 a.m. and arriving at the three destinations at 8:06 a.m. / 9:06 a.m. / 10:08 a.m.

Bus 21 will return from Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue to Hudson at 3:30 p.m./4:30 p.m. / and 5:30 p.m. There are about 24 bus stops on the circuit. @ST:Pincourt’s new service
Pincourt will start its bus service on Thursday, September 4, when buses 31, 32 and 33 will follow three circuits. The main bus terminal will be at the Pincourt/Terrasse-Vaudreuil train station. As well as connecting residents to the train station, the bus will make stops at the CLSC and Medical Center in Vaudreuil-Dorion. The cost of bus tickets is as follows : regular monthly pass ($75), booklet of 10 tickets ($26.75), one ticket ($3.75); intermediary monthly pass ($60); reduced monthly pass ($45), booklet of 10 tickets ($16), single ticket ($l.75).

For Hudson residents with the TRAM zone 5 card, the bus is free. For Pincourt residents with the TRAM (Pincourt/Terrasse-Vaudreuil) card, the bus service is free. @ST:Expansion in 2008 @R:“Vaudreuil-Dorion has been operating the CIT bus for two and a half years, which has given students the opportunity to take the train from stations in Vaudreuil and Dorion to Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue. We hope to expand the CIT services in 2008, which will allow students to travel to JAC from Vaudreuil-Dorion by bus. For now, I am very happy that we are reaching our goal to provide bus services to all commuters in the CIT’s five municipalities. In September, we will have bus services in three municipalities: Hudson, Pincourt and Vaudreuil-Dorion. When negotiations are completed, we will add two more municipalities, L’Île-Perrot and Notre-Dame-de-l’Île-Perrot, either in January 2008 or September 2008,” added Mr. Mailly. @BV:Public transportation is being expanded in Vaudreuil-Dorion and Hudson and added in Pincourt.
