Four regional teams dominate in L’Île-Perrot

The Lac St. Louis Lions Cadette Softball team captured gold last weekend when they won the Ligue Fastpitch Feminine Élite du Quebec playoffs at Parc Michel Martin in L’Île-Perrot.

Three other Lac St-Louis AA Lions teams - Benjamin, Midget & Intermedaire – also qualified for the finals, with Midget taking home gold.

The Benjamin and Intermedaire teams won silver at the Labour Day weekend tournament.

The Cadette Lions’ victory topped a successful season in which the team won bronze during an Ontario tournament and silver at the Provincial Championships.

They finish fourth of 12 teams last month in the Eastern Canadian Championships in Nova Scotia.

Meanwhile, the four teams are expanding their rosters with open evaluation and development days taking place at Shamrock Park in Pincourt, next Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 13 & 14.

The times are as follows:

Mosquito (born 97 to 99,) from 9:00- 12:00. (In case of rain: Sept. 20, 9–12)

Pee Wee (born 95 / 96) from 1:00- 4:30 (In case of rain Sept. 21, 9:30 -1:00)

Bantam (born 93 / 94) & Midget (born 90 to 92) Sept. 14, 9:30 - 1:00 (In case of rain Sept. 21 from 1:30-5:00)
