Bus on the Island
The people of Terrasse-Vaudreuil should be glad to have a bus service in their town. In Notre-Dame and Île Perrot, there is no such service and the only way to get around is by car. Sure, I use the car, but for me, and others in NDIP it would be much easier to get to John Abbott College or the train station in Ile Perrot much faster.
I organised a petition last fall at John Abbott College, where more than 40 citizens of NDIP and Ile Perrot expressed, that they were interested in a bus service from/to these two municipalities. The response from the chief executive officer of NDIP to the petition was basically, thank you for your concern and we are working on it.
A bus service to the train and onto the Montreal Island would help improve the traffic situation with the upcoming construction on the Gallipeau Bridge, if more people would take public transportation with the CITPI, the AMT and the STM.
