CPR Course in St. Lazare
L@ February is Heart Month and what better time to take that CPR course you have always said you would take?
Research indicates citizen CPR response can improve survival rate for victims of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest by almost fourfold. With eight in 10 cardiac arrests occurring at home, CPR training will help increase citizen CPR response rates over the long term.
The Équipe d’intervention médicale de Saint-Lazare offers you
the opportunity to take a CPR & First Aid course this Sunday February 3 in English from 9:00 am to 4:00 p.m. The French course will be given on Sunday February 17. Both courses will be given at the St. Lazare Community Centre at 1301 rue du Bois, St Lazare. Each four-hour course prepares you to act swiftly in life threatening emergencies. Quebec Heart & Stroke Foundation certified instructors teach all the courses.
Every participant will benefit from a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course which covers the adult, child and/or baby victim. Specific instructions will be given on how to deal with cases of cardiac arrest and obstructed airway manoeuvers. Both courses are available in French or English.
Courses tailored to specific needs are also offered to groups in the workplace, community groups, social clubs.
Courses are designed to meet interests and needs like those for daycare providers and people who want to reach Level C.
