Hudson’s Santa Claus Parade
Even though it was a very cold day, it was bright and clear, and families and friends lined Main Road on Sunday, December 2nd, to watch Hudson’s annual Santa Claus Parade. “With the theme of « The Twelve Days of Christmas” there were 40 floats in the parade, up from 27 last year. It was a great day!” said Mike Klaiman, director of the Hudson Parks and Recreation Department. Special guests were Montreal Alouettes players, Damon Duval and Brad Smith, and Alouettes president, Larry Smith, who lives in Hudson. Hudson community center won the prize for the float with the most spirit, the Girl Guides won for being the most true to the theme. Hudson Yacht Club won for creativity and St-Thomas school won for originality. Following the parade, everyone gathered in the Stephen F. Shaar Community Centre where Santa Claus passed out candy canes to the children.
