Pincourt’s new bus service starts September 4th
Pincourt - Starting on Tuesday September 4, Pincourt will officially launch a brand new shuttle bus service for its residents. Buses will operate on three circuits and will transport passengers to the Pincourt / Terrasse-Vaudreuil commuter train station, the medical centre and the CLSC in Vaudreuil-Dorion, and students to John Abbott College. @R:It was with pride that the official announcement of the bus service was made Tuesday at the Omni-Centre in Pincourt.
« It’s a great addition. We are pleased to offer this new bus service to our residents. It is 18 years since we had a bus service,” said Stéphane Boyer, Pincourt town councillor.
“I am pleased to announce this joint venture with Pincourt. We are now beginning to provide a real bus service for all the municipalities in the CIT La Presqu’île. Vaudreuil-Dorion was for a long time the only place with a bus service,” said Vaudreuil-Dorion Mayor Guy Pilon, who is head of the CIT. “We are very hopeful that the bus services in Hudson, Vaudreuil-Dorion and Pincourt will provide connecting services early in 2008, and that the other municipalities on the island of Île-Perrot will join us. Since Hudson resumed its CIT bus service recently, we are finding that the first two morning buses going from Hudson to John Abbott College are packed with students,” said René Mailly, director of the CIT La Presqu’île.
